Charles Dickens Coffee Farm

The legacy of Tipperary Heritage Beans

Nestled in the misty hills of Yercaud, the Earthy Origins coffee farm has a history dating back to 1900 when it was first established by the family of English writer Charles Dickens. Over the decades, the farm evolved into a sanctuary for premium 100% Arabica coffee, blending heritage with sustainability. Local tribal communities handpick the beans, which undergo traditional processing and 24-hour fermentation to preserve their rich flavor. With only 3,000 kilograms of A-grade beans produced annually, this limited harvest ensures an exclusive experience for coffee lovers. Every cup tells a story of history, craftsmanship, and the promise of pure, unadulterated quality.

1. Handpicked Fully Ripened Fruit Only the ripest coffee cherries are carefully handpicked by local tribal communities, ensuring each bean is of the highest quality.
2. Washing and Removing Low-Quality and Single Beans The cherries are washed to remove impurities, and meticulous sorting eliminates any low-quality or single beans, leaving only the finest for processing.
3. Squeezing The cherries are gently squeezed to extract the precious coffee beans inside, ensuring minimal damage and preserving their natural flavors.
4. Fermentation The beans are fermented for 24 hours, a critical step that enhances their unique sweetness and refines their rich flavor profile.
5. Drying The beans are sun-dried under controlled conditions, reducing moisture content to perfection while locking in their vibrant taste.
6. Hulling and Roasting The dried beans are hulled to remove their protective outer layers and then roasted to bring out their complex aromas and bold flavors.
7. Grounding Finally, the roasted beans are ground to the desired texture, ready to deliver an exceptional coffee experience in every cup.
